Fedora and Red Hat Open Day 2008 finished!

June 4, 2008

I didn’t write about the event we’re organizing before, but I’ll write a short brief on this now 🙂 So, the event took place on 1st June in Cracow. The name for the second time was Fedora and Red Hat Open Day, although the topics spoken during the conference were mainly Fedora-related. We were really surprised with the huge interest in our event. We had 173 registered people what was a real success. Of course not everybody appeared but that was a success anyway. The attendance was the biggest during first presentations, but we shouldn’t complain about this during the whole event as well. I won’t write long report here, because if you’re intrested in more detailed account, I’ve posted it here: https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-ambassadors-list/2008-June/msg00068.html.

I’m back!

May 23, 2007

Hi again! 🙂 I’m back after a long absence. I’m already after all exams, now I have to just wait for results. I gotta orientate what’s going on in the world, so I will be able to normally function. I think that’s all for now. For next hearing 🙂

Reducing activity until May

February 27, 2007

Hi! I’m writing this post to announce you I’m reducing my activity in all areas until May. This is because of very important exams I’m gonna have on May. I won’t be reading my mails, so I’ll be almost unreachable. Also on May I’ll post some photos I’ve taken during FOSDEM. All I can say now is that it was a really great time spent there. I think that cutting off is the most reasonable thing I can do now. So, see you on May!

Blackmail – let to be broken or fight…?

January 16, 2007

Hmm, today I was thinking whether you should allow to be broken by blackmail, or should fight? If we consider it in a simple way, the answer is obvious. But, what to do if in case you win, it will in some way hit you? That is, you will lose something what you could gain if you allowed someone to break you. This is the point where the dilemma starts. Be broken and lose your honor or remain unbendable and lose an opportunity of doing something that you would like to do – that is the question. This is a question from my current life but it is in some way connected with Linux and Open Source. Remain committed to the idelogy or permit to be bought? In this case, the ideology can be connected with money profits, but sometimes a good payment could be offered to you if you allowed to be bought. It’s a main problem that we can meet in everyday life. My answer to this is that you have to remain free, with free mind and free choice. As John Lennon sang, “One thing I can tell you is you got to be free!”. These words remain up to date to presentday, and will remain immortal forever. My friend says: “You have to know your own value”. So, we should never allow to be broken by blackmail, as freedom is one of the most valuable things we can have. Remember it.

Fedora.pl – reactivation

January 14, 2007

I’m proud to inform you that some time ago, we’ve reactivated the Polish site and support forum – http://www.fedora.pl. Actually, we’ve created a new layout based on WordPress ( 🙂 ). Now it looks really great and, as one user said, smells with freshness 🙂 Right now, we’re planning to reactivate Wiki so everyone will be able to help other people by writing articles. We’re on the right way, now we have to just keep the work! 🙂

Test matura exam – day 3rd (Maths)

November 17, 2006

Ok, I’m already after the whole test matura exam. My today’s subject was maths. What I can say – the tasks were possible to do 😉 I have to study a lot before the final exam in May – I’m an optimist 😉 Now I have some time before I will know the results. We’ll see 🙂

Test matura exam – day 2nd (English)

November 16, 2006

Huh, I’m already after the English test matura exam. I don’t know what to say about it – it was neither very easy, nor extremely difficult. Second part of the exam in my opinion was more difficult – I hope it didn’t go very bad 😉 Tomorrow maths on the extended level, we’ll see 😀
